Lending a hand to keep a student in school

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

De’Sean H. is currently a sophomore attending Temple University for Sports Management. His mom, Ivette is working 3 jobs so that De’Sean can achieve his dreams and De’Sean is looking for part-time job to help pay for school. But because of unforeseen circumstances, they fell behind on payments.

So in January, Ivette sent Fans Helping Fans an email. In the email, she told Fans Helping Fans about how she is trying to keep her son in school. It was a mother’s cry for help. So Fans Helping Fans stepped in to help out Ivette and De’Sean.

Once again, thanks to all great people who donated to Fans Helping Fans, FHF gave De’Sean a $1,000 grant that not only brought is account to good standing, but also provided him some credit for future payments. De’Sean and Ivette finally felt a sense of relief after months of stress and a good student is able to continue to work towards his dreams.

“Thank you so much! You have no idea how much this helps out.”, De’Sean told us over sandwiches on Temple’s campus. It was our pleasure, De’Sean.
